Thank you for writing on this topic of the Man Box. As a life coach and a woman in a heterosexual relationship with a man, I became aware of the box. I even named it a box! Had no idea it was already a coined term. The only thing I would tweak in the definition you use is that men need to be or appear to be in control. Not necessarily of women but in control of everything IMO. Again, thank you for your writing.
